Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology seeks a Principal Agentic AI Full Stack Software Engineer in Crystal City, VA. You will design, deploy, and sustain AI analytics stack components, including frontends, production APIs, and the data layer.

You will translate AI/ML concepts into reliable software, building user-focused solutions that support mission outcomes. This role requires 8+ years of experience and a current TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph eligibility.

Qualifications

• Requirements include: 8+ years of related experience and a current TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.
• Experience building AI-enabled web apps, analytics dashboards, or user workflows using modern front-end frameworks.
• Proficiency with Python, RESTful APIs, containerization, and scalable backend design.

Responsibilities

• Develop clean, maintainable Python code and analytics components.
• Lead AI-enabled web apps design using Streamlit, React, or similar tech.
• Integrate AI workflows with prompting, tool calling, RAG, and related patterns.
• Create APIs (FastAPI) to enable reliable system communication.
• Build user interfaces for accessible AI/data analytics for end users.
• Establish CI/CD pipelines and Docker-based deployments for reliable releases.
• Work with PostgreSQL/MySQL to ensure data integrity and performance.
• Manage Git workflows and collaboration across teams.
• Contribute across the software development lifecycle from concept to sustainment.
