Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Agentic AI Engineer to drive architecture and hands-on development of Generative AI agents in a remote USA role. You will lead cross-functional teams, design AI solutions, and ensure robust QA/UAT support throughout the project lifecycle.

The role emphasizes Conversational AI, LLM orchestration, and secure, scalable AI deployments using AWS Bedrock, Bedrock AgentCore, and related tools.

Qualifications

• Must have experience with Conversational AI and Agentic AI platforms.
• Experience with AWS Lex or other deterministic bots.
• Experience with AWS Bedrock and Bedrock AgentCore.
• Experience with AWS Strands SDK / Framework.
• Hands-on voice bot and chat bot development.
• Agentic AI application development and orchestration.
• Intent modeling, conversation design, prompt engineering, and NLU concepts.
• LLM application development with tool calling, function calling, and agent workflows.
• Knowledge of secure AI deployment patterns and cloud-native agent architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead Dev team across onshore and offshore.
• Hands on development, design and architecture based on client requirements.
• Support QA and UAT teams.
