Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a remote role in the United States for a senior AI/ML engineer focused on Conversational AI and agentic platforms. You will lead development across onshore and offshore teams, design architecture, and support QA/UAT to ensure quality deployments.

Required hands-on experience with AWS Lex, Bedrock, Bedrock AgentCore, Strands, multi-agent orchestration, and secure AI practices; strong prompts, evaluation, and tool integrations are essential.

Qualifications

• Conversational AI platforms experience (MUST)
• AWS Lex or equivalent deterministic bot experience (MUST)
• AWS Bedrock and Bedrock AgentCore experience (MUST)
• AWS Strands SDK / Framework experience (MUST)
• Voice bot and chat bot development (MUST)
• Agentic AI application development and orchestration (MUST)
• Intent modeling, conversation design, prompt engineering, and NLU concepts (MUST)
• LLM application development, tool calling, function calling, and agent workflows (MUST)
• Secure AI deployment patterns and enterprise AI controls (MUST)
• Experience with retrieval-augmented generation (optional)
