Job summary

RealPage, Inc. is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy AI-powered applications at scale.

You will work with foundation models, develop prompting, and implement RAG pipelines to deliver impactful AI experiences for RealPage customers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including AI engineers, software engineers, product managers, and designers to build end-to-end features, integrate UI and backend services, and continuously improve model performance and

Qualifications

• 4–6 years in Software Engineering or Data Science, with 1–2 years of hands-on Generative AI and LLMs.
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or equivalent experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and SQL.
• Practical experience with LLMs, embeddings, vector stores, RAG patterns, and agentic frameworks.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to write clean, production-grade code and participate in system design discussions.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with LLMs and multimodal models from various vendors.
• Build AI-powered features such as conversational assistants and agentic workflows.
• Evaluate and implement LLMs, vector databases, RAG architectures, and agentic frameworks.
• Develop reliable, optimized prompts for various generative AI use cases.
• Address edge cases, reduce hallucinations, and improve model consistency.
• Build end-to-end features, including UI integrations and backend services.
• Produce clean, production-ready Python and JavaScript/TypeScript code.
• Contribute to evaluation frameworks that test LLM performance, grounding, safety, and reliability.
• Work closely with AI engineers, software engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver integrated AI experiences.
• Stay current with emerging AI trends and tools; build prototypes and PoCs.
