Job summary

Airbus is seeking an Aftermarket Supplier Development Manager (SDM) to execute local missions for Customer Services supply chain and quality teams across the United States. The role reports to the Head of Supplier Management in America and involves extensive travel (>50%) to supplier facilities.

You will assess supplier capability, drive corrective actions, and support performance improvement initiatives to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Industrial Engineering or similar field is required.
• Minimum of 8 years professional experience in a procurement operations environment (monitoring, auditing, developing suppliers/operations) or equivalent.
• Preferred: 10+ years of relevant professional experience in aerospace/manufacturing.
• Must be a Qualified Assessor/Auditor.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier development missions and projects to improve aftermarket supplier performance across Quality, Cost, and Delivery.
• Coordinate and execute a comprehensive suite of assessments on Suppliers capacity, capability, Industrial maturity & performance.
• Identify and monitor industrial risks and propose effective mitigation strategies to the SCQM.
• Facilitate transparent communication regarding supplier performance and development plans.
