Job summary

Caterpillar is seeking a Senior Aftermarket Inventory Strategy Analyst to partner with dealers and internal teams to optimize service parts availability and inventory performance. You will drive analytics, develop strategic recommendations, and lead cross-functional initiatives to improve inventory productivity.

This on-site role (Morton, IL or Dallas, TX) requires up to 10% travel and strong communication with leadership to implement ongoing improvements and enhance customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in inventory management, supply chain analytics, logistics, demand planning, or related field.
• Proven success leading complex inventory or business improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary inventory management advisor for Caterpillar dealers.
• Design and implement inventory optimization strategies balancing service levels and demand.
• Lead complex inventory improvement initiatives from analysis through execution.
• Analyze inventory and performance data to identify trends and root causes.
• Conduct executive business reviews communicating performance insights and risks.
• Lead corrective action plans addressing inventory gaps and gains.
• Mentor dealers on inventory management best practices and tools.
• Drive standardization and process improvements across organization.
