Job summary

Related Affordable in MA is seeking an Affordable Housing Compliance Specialist to ensure adherence to HUD, LIHTC, PBS8, PBV, RAD, and related regulatory agreements. Located in Massachusetts, reporting to the Director of Regulatory Compliance, the role requires attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously with colleagues across the country.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Project Based Section 8 HUD, LIHTC and other affordable housing programs.
• Knowledge of HUD 4350.3, EIV, Reasonable Accommodation Requests, LIHTC income limits and rent calculations.
• COS certification required, HCCP preferred.
• Ability to travel at least once per month, up to 30% travel may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and implement changes in HUD and LIHTC regulations.
• Maintain tenant files and records per HUD/LIHTC rules.
• Review move-in and transfer files for eligibility.
• Audit and report lease-ups, move-ins, and recertifications.
• Conduct onsite and remote audits for compliance.
• Prepare responses to agency audits and coordinate with teams.
