Job summary

North Carolina State University is seeking a Senior Affinity Engagement Manager to lead volunteer engagement and programming for Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving. The role reports to the director of volunteer engagement and oversees a portfolio of alumni constituencies and affinity groups.

You will drive integrated programming, coordinate with campus partners, and leverage digital and in-person channels to foster philanthropy and engagement across NC State’s community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3 years of related experience; at least one year in a supervisory or lead role
• Experience in alumni, student or constituent affairs, program development, including planning and events
• Exceptional communication and collaborative skills
• Strong organizational and volunteer management abilities
• Ability to work nights and weekends

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement volunteer engagement strategies and programming with University Advancement and campus partners
• Promote understanding of the University's mission and priorities while strengthening relationships among volunteer communities
• Engage constituents through digital, print, and social media with excellent customer service
• Collaborate with development colleagues to increase philanthropic support from alumni
• Identify, recruit, cultivate, and steward volunteer leaders
• Provide guidance to volunteer leaders for social, educational, philanthropic, and community initiatives
• Manage budgets for assigned communities and report on impact and ROI
