Job summary

KRYPTON SOLUTIONS in Plano, TX seeks a Senior Vibration Test Engineer to establish and lead our aerospace vibration testing capability. You will personally run complex tests, define lab standards, mentor staff, and serve as the technical authority on shaker testing and fixture design within an AS9100 framework.

You will build out processes and staffing plans as the team scales, working with the LDS V8800 or equivalent and translating DoD/NASA standards into actionable test plans for aerospace

Qualifications

Experience standing up a test lab or capability from an early stage.
Experience in a manufacturing assembly environment.
Ability to stand/sit for extended periods and handle materials up to 100 lbs.
Exposure to solvents/chemicals with proper PPE and ventilation.

Responsibilities

Set up, calibrate, and run vibration tests (sine sweep, random, shaker profiles).
Translate MIL-STD-810, RTCA DO-160, MIL-STD-1540, NASA-STD-7001 into test plans.
Direct fixture design/fabrication for mass loading and mounting resonance.
Troubleshoot amplifier, armature, cooling, and control-loop issues; lead anomaly investigations.
Analyze PSD/transmissibility data and produce audit-ready reports.
Establish lab procedures, safety, calibration, and AS9100 documentation.
Recruit, train, and mentor future test operators and engineers.
