Job summary

Electra Aero in Manassas, VA, seeks a Senior Structural Assembly Manufacturing Engineer to develop and industrialize the structural assembly processes for the EL9, from early development through prototype, production ramp-up and operations.

You’ll apply DFMA to designs, evaluate assembly sequences and tooling, and collaborate with airframe suppliers to ensure producibility, quality, and on-time execution of builds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years aerospace manufacturing engineering experience, with significant experience in aircraft structural assembly.
• Experience applying DFMA principles during product development.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product Engineering to ensure DFMA integrated into designs and support scalable production.
• Review structural designs, assemblies, drawings, models, and changes for manufacturability.
• Provide oversight with suppliers, clarify design and manufacturing intent, and resolve issues.
• Capture lessons learned and drive improvements into design and tooling.
