Job summary

BravoTECH is seeking an experienced Software Quality Engineer to support aerospace and defense software programs. This onsite role in Fort Worth, TX requires 11+ years of aerospace/defense software process experience and strong knowledge of DO-178/DO-254, ARP-4754, MIL-STD-498.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field required.
• 11+ years of aerospace/defense software process experience required.
• Strong hands-on experience with aerospace/defense software standards (DO-178, DO-254, ARP-4754).
• Experience with software requirements development and verification.
• Experience with software quality assurance, process compliance, and auditing.
• Ability to interpret specifications, contracts, and engineering documentation.
• Proficiency in C, C++, Ada or other embedded languages.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve software requirements and documentation for compliance.
• Collaborate with software engineers, test teams, project managers, and engineers.
• Ensure software processes and deliverables meet regulatory and contractual requirements.
• Support software process audits and identify risk/compliance issues.
• Participate in software change control boards and program reviews.
• Review development and testing processes throughout the lifecycle.
• Support requirements development, design, coding, and verification activities.
• Review contracts, schematics, and engineering docs.
• Support software supplier audits and program activities.
• Mentor junior engineers when required.
• Communicate technical information through meetings and reports.
• Travel as needed to support activities and audits.
