Job summary

Butler America Aerospace, LLC. in Fort Worth, TX seeks a Software Quality Engineer to monitor all phases of the software development process for aircraft-delivered software, ensuring compliance with DO-178, DO-254 and FAA requirements.

The role collaborates with systems and software engineers, testers, and project managers; reviews design and test documentation; and participates in software change control boards.

Qualifications

Requires BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 11 years in aerospace/defense software processes (RTCA DO-178/DO-254, SAE ARP-4754, MIL-STD-498).
Experience with government FAA projects preferred.
Demonstrated basic audit techniques and software development/testing knowledge.

Responsibilities

Interface with systems and software development personnel, test and evaluation personnel, and project managers.
Work well in a team environment with strong customer interface and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with software process auditing scope, requirements, risks and milestones.
