Job summary

Bell Textron Inc. in Fort Worth, TX, seeks a Senior Software Quality Engineer in the Aircraft SQA group to ensure compliance with RTCA DO-178, ARP-4754 and related standards. You will lead SQAP development, audits, and reviews across embedded software, coordinating with CM and suppliers.

This on-site role requires strong collaboration, technical writing, and travel up to 10%. A DoD clearance is expected; relocation assistance is not offered.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
• 5+ years’ experience in software quality assurance with 3+ years in software engineering development
• 3+ years in aerospace & defense guidance, standards and processes (RTCA DO-178, SAE ARP-4754, MIL-STD-498), gov/FAA projects, embedded systems
• Experience with software process audits across lifecycle and with audit tooling

Responsibilities

• Execute and support requirements development, verification and audits across software lifecycle
• Develop and maintain SQAPs, lifecycle models, entry/exit criteria, verification/validation
• Coordinate with Software Configuration Management for program plans and change control
• Review software engineering practices, documentation and supplier artifacts for compliance
• Lead formal and in-process reviews to ensure software requirements & standards compliance
• Collaborate with engineering teams, customers, suppliers to resolve issues and support milestones
