Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking an Advance Project Engineer to lead a software team responsible for program performance across parallel projects. You will partner with Project Engineers and Program Managers, guiding cost, schedule, and technical issue coordination.

You will staff with technical resources, prioritize work packages, and drive overall program performance by collaborating with hardware and embedded software teams within our Software Center of Excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Science or Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• 2 years experience in project engineering functions.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex engineering projects on time and within budget.
• Solid leadership and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• To conform to U.S. Government technology export regulations, including ITAR.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex engineering projects from initiation to completion.
• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Project execution, escalation and performance management.
• Project schedule and milestone development/management.
• Risk/opportunity development and management.
• Drive clear communications between Technical leaders.
• Optimize the team through procedural improvements and automations.
• Driving SW quotation estimate efforts and approvals.
• Facilitating various teams to solutions and agreement.
• Drive and improve project engineering practices for Software groups.
