Job summary

Enjet Aero, a leading aerospace manufacturer, seeks a Senior Manufacturing & Process Engineer (Sheet Metal & Fabrication) to own and optimize forming, welding, and assembly processes for complex jet engine components. The role drives process stability, quality, and on-time delivery through data-driven improvements and hands-on leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Welding Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Extensive hands-on experience with sheet metal forming and fabrication including flat pattern/blank development, bend allowance, springback and forming limits.
• Strong knowledge of welding processes (TIG GTAW, resistance spot, resistance seam) and fixturing.
• Process development—taking a part from print to a stable, repeatable process.
• Ability to write clear, accurate work instructions and engineering reports.
• Root cause and corrective action experience with RCCA investigations.
• Data-driven decision making using SPC, inspection data, and yield/scrap metrics.

Responsibilities

• Determine methodology and process routing for sheet metal details from blank development through laser cutting, forming, welding, and inspection.
• Develops forming processes such as press brake forming, rolling, hydroforming, and spinning.
• Develop welding processes and weld schedules per aerospace specs.
• Create shop floor documentation: process sheets, work instructions, setup sheets, weld schedules.
• Design or specify forming tools and fixtures; collaborate with toolroom for build/tryout.
• Analyze process data and yield to justify changes and improve first-pass yield.
• Lead RCCA investigations and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot forming, welding, and assembly issues on the shop floor and implement improvements.
