Job summary

Howmet Aerospace is seeking a skilled inspector for metallurgical testing and process control at our Carson, CA facility. The role focuses on in-process and final inspections, calibration of gages, and maintaining traceability and lab reports to ensure products meet stringent specifications.

This position requires reading blueprints, performing complex tests, and coordinating with suppliers for calibration.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Ten years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and write in English proficiently.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States with no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Prepare inspection and test reports and datasheets.
• Verify product acceptance using precision inspection tools.
• Follow drawings, standards and specs for acceptance testing.
• Maintain lab documentation and calibration records.
• Perform in-process and final inspections, torque and tensile testing.
