Howmet Aerospace Inc. seeks a Metallurgical Inspector IV for the second shift at our Fullerton, CA site. The role involves direct inspection of finished aerospace parts, sampling for dimensional checks, and ensuring conformity to customer drawings and specs.

You will read blueprints, use precision gauges (micrometers, calipers, Go/No-Go gauges) and document results, including non-conformances and 3rd-party certificates, while abiding by quality procedures and safety rules.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years related quality experience or training.
• Prior experience in a Quality Inspector role.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to perform arithmetic in all units of measure.
• Authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Inspect products after final processing to ensure conformance.
• Procure samples for dimensional inspection of aerospace parts.
• Measure parts using micrometers, calipers, and various gauges.
• Review customer drawings and specifications to verify requirements.
• Prepare quality documentation and non-conformance reports as needed.
