Job summary

Steelcrest Precision in Ohio seeks a Senior Quality Engineer who treats quality as an engineering discipline. You’ll own the technical backbone of our quality system, FAI, PPAP, root cause and corrective action, and supplier quality, while driving certification and continuous improvement to meet customer and regulatory expectations.

You’ll report to plant/quality leadership with visibility to the CEO and influence shop floor operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of quality engineering in aerospace or regulated precision manufacturing.
• Strong GD&T interpretation and AS9100/AS9102 (FAI) experience.
• Experience with CMM programming/review and GD&T interpretation.
• Familiarity with ITAR and/or CMMC Level 1 compliance activities.
• Proven record of closing corrective actions that stick.

Responsibilities

• Lead FAI & PPAP processes end-to-end, ensuring on-time approvals.
• Drive 8D/5-Why investigations and corrective actions on nonconformances.
• Support ISO 9001/AS9100/ITAR/CMMC audits and closure of findings.
• Manage supplier quality performance and corrective actions with vendors.
• Oversee measurement systems, inspection methods, and gauge R&R studies.
