Job summary

Thales, located in Irvine, CA, is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to lead high-level quality engineering across hardware development, manufacturing, and in-service products. You will drive APQP, RCCA, SMS, and PMA ODA initiatives while collaborating with Operations, Engineering, Finance, PM, and external partners.

The role requires strong QA/QE expertise in multiple manufacturing domains, leadership abilities, and experience with regulatory airworthiness processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree with 4+ years of aerospace quality experience.
• Strong experience in QA/QE across manufacturing environments including Aerospace, Automotive, Electronics, and Contract Manufacturing.
• Proficient in APQP (AS9145), RCCA, FMEA, SPC, Control Plans and MRB processes.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and mentor staff; excellent communication.
• Experience with Regulatory Airworthiness activities and PMA ODA processes.
• Knowledge of drawings interpretation and measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and facilitate QA, APQP, RCCA, SMS and PMA ODA activities at Irvine and Orlando facilities.
• Lead cross-functional teams to drive continual improvements and problem resolution.
• Review and assess team performance, process compliance, and product safety reports.
• Develop reports and communicate status of tasks and objectives to stakeholders.
