Job summary

Placements24 has a client, a leading aerospace manufacturer, seeking a Senior Aerospace Project Manager to lead complex projects from conception to completion. The role is hybrid, combining on-site collaboration with remote work, and requires proven leadership, strong budgeting, scheduling, and cross-functional coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, business administration or related field.
• PMP certification is desirable.
• 8+ years of progressive project-management experience; at least 5 years in aerospace/defense.
• Proven track record managing complex aerospace projects from initiation to closure.
• Strong knowledge of aerospace engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies; familiarity with MS Project and Jira.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and resources; experience with risk management and change control.

Responsibilities

• Lead aerospace projects from conception to delivery within scope, budget, and schedule.
• Develop detailed project plans with milestones, tasks, resources, and risk strategies.
• Oversee execution, monitor progress, and implement corrective actions.
• Manage project budgets and expenditures to meet financial objectives.
• Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and QA teams.
• Serve as primary contact for stakeholders; provide regular status updates.
• Identify and mitigate risks; develop contingency plans.
• Ensure compliance with aviation regulations and industry standards.
• Lead and motivate project teams; foster a collaborative, results-driven environment.
• Conduct post-project reviews and capture lessons learned.
