Job summary

Kraus Hamdani Aerospace is seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager to own end-to-end programs, from proposal through sustainment. You will lead cross-functional teams across Engineering, Production, Operations, Finance, and Client Success, with up to 25% travel for customer engagements.

The role requires 8+ years in program management, aerospace or unmanned systems experience, and strong financial oversight and customer-facing communication. Remote work with occasional travel is offered.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of program or project management experience in aerospace/defense or complex hardware/software programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Experience managing budgets, forecasts, schedules, and contractual deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Establish, implement, and mature the PMO while managing assigned programs; develop governance, reporting, and tools for accountability and on-time delivery.
• Mentor and develop junior Project Managers through standardized practices and structured training.
• Lead complex programs with integrated schedules, budgets, milestones, deliverables, and ownership across functions.
• Manage, coach, and set priorities for Project Managers with regular feedback and skill development.
• Partner with Business Development and Solutions Engineering on proposals, estimates, and transitioning from award to execution.
• Translate contract requirements into coordinated engineering, production, test, and delivery plans with readiness criteria.
• Own program financial performance with Finance; manage budgets, forecasts, and margins; develop recovery plans as needed.
• Serve as primary point of contact for program execution; lead reviews and drive risk-informed decisions.
• Control scope with Contracts and Finance; assess impacts and obtain approvals for changes.
• Coordinate deployment readiness with Operations including staffing, aircraft availability, and logistics.
• Manage suppliers and subcontractors; track dependencies, quality, and corrective actions.
• Maintain risks, issues, decisions, and action plans; escalate early with options and tradeoffs.
• Track reporting, customer acceptance, and billing milestones; ensure compliance with security/export requirements.
• Capture lessons learned and coordinate handoffs to Client Success and warranty support.
