Job summary

Moog is seeking a Staff Program Manager in Phoenix, AZ. Hybrid work arrangement with strong emphasis on financial acumen and cross-functional leadership across engineering, operations, and supply chain to deliver critical aerospace programs.

Responsibilities include risk management, cost controls, and customer-facing program reviews while mentoring junior managers and driving process improvements for on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, operations, program management, or a related technical discipline.
• 7+ years of program management experience in aerospace, defense, or government contracting.
• Experience managing programs through multiple product lifecycle phases (development, integration and test, production, delivery).
• Strong financial and business acumen with forecasting, budgeting, EAC/ETC management, and resource planning.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and standard program management tools.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; able to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple aerospace and defense programs from contract award through end-item delivery.
• Serve as primary customer interface and single point of accountability for all program activities.
• Define program scope, objectives, schedules, budgets, and resources with cross-functional teams.
• Develop integrated program plans with milestones, forecasts, and risk mitigation.
• Owns program financial performance including budgets, labor and material forecasts, EAC/ETC.
• Lead cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and finance.
• Prepare and present program status and risks to customers and senior leadership.
• Support business development, including proposals, negotiations, and opportunities.
• Coordinate customer visits, program reviews, and executive briefings.
• Drive continuous improvement of program management processes.
• Mentor Program Managers and Associate Program Managers, fostering accountability and collaboration.
