Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Senior Planner to drive production planning for new manufacturing jobs in Auburn, WA. You will create, review, and maintain manufacturing plans, ensure ERP/MRP data accuracy, and coordinate with engineering, production, and quality teams to keep schedules on track.

In this role, you will manage multiple active jobs, prioritize workloads, and support improvements to planning processes and tools, including capacity planning and better workflows for efficient machine

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing planning and production routing.
• Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP and data integrity.
• Experience using JobBOSS is advantageous.
• Excellent organizational and deadline management.
• Ability to troubleshoot planning and scheduling issues.
• Comfort working with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan and support new manufacturing jobs through the full planning process, from initial review to release to the shop floor.
• Review, update, and refine manufacturing plans and travelers to reflect current methods, routing, and production requirements.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date planning documentation based on engineering revisions, customer changes, and evolving production needs.
• Coordinate with internal departments such as engineering, production, and quality to gather information needed to complete and optimize manufacturing plans.
• Troubleshoot planning and manufacturing-related issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to keep jobs on track.
• Help reduce the backlog of new work awaiting planning by effectively prioritizing and processing incoming jobs.
• Maintain accurate planning information within JobBOSS and other ERP/MRP systems, ensuring data integrity and proper job setup.
• Manage multiple active jobs and priorities simultaneously, balancing urgent needs with long-term planning requirements.
• Support improvements to planning processes, including the development of more efficient workflows and tools.
• Contribute to future machine scheduling needs by providing clear, detailed plans that support capacity planning and resource allocation.
