Job summary

Professional Recruiting Consultants, Inc. is seeking a highly analytical Production Planner for an aerospace/defense manufacturer in Stafford, VA.

The role converts customer demand, material availability, ERP data, and capacity into executable schedules, partnering with manufacturing, procurement, inventory, engineering, and quality to improve readiness and delivery performance. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in production planning, strong Excel skills, ERP/MRP experience, and a manufacturing

Qualifications

• 2+ years of production planning, MRP, and scheduling in an assembly-line operation.
• Advanced Excel skills: pivot tables, lookups, formulas and data analysis.
• ERP experience with MRP and production scheduling.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (manufacturing, industrial, electrical, mechanical or similar) required.
• Strong analytical accuracy, organization and cross-functional communication.
• Experience in Aerospace/Defense or similarly regulated industries preferred.
• Familiar with Power BI and Dynamics/Business Central is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own production schedules aligned with orders, forecasts, inventory, materials readiness, and capacity.
• Prepare dashboards and reports for planning, capacity, procurement, and inventory decisions.
• Create, release, maintain, and monitor ERP work orders and schedule attainment.
• Identify material shortages and coordinate recovery plans with Procurement, Inventory, Production, Engineering, and Quality.
• Maintain BOMs, routings, and planning parameters; monitor consumption and order performance.
• Resolve cross-functional scheduling and production issues following procedures.
