Ideal candidates will have 6-8 years of inspection experience, proficiency with CMM and GD&T per ANSI Y14.5, and strong blueprint-reading capabilities.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent and 6-8 years related inspection experience.
• Lean/continuous improvement initiatives experience.
• Team competencies and ongoing development activities expected.
• Must pass required vision exam.
• Experience in CMM operations and GD&T per ANSI Y14.5.
• Proficient reading blueprints and customer/internal drawings.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate acceptance/rejection records and certifications as required by specifications.
• Determine acceptance or rejection after inspection/calibration and document results.
• Train lower level personnel and certified operators.
• Perform first article and envelope inspections, source inspections, and complex surface plate setups.
• Adapt and develop complex inspection setups for sample parts, forgings and castings.
• Interpret specifications and data to arrive at acceptance; suggest changes as needed.
• Create gaging setups on surface plate to take readings with precision instruments.
• Plan periodic fire testing of hose and fire sleeve when required.
• Adapt inspection equipment for standard and non-standard products.
