Job summary

Parker Aerospace in Fort Worth, TX is hiring an Inspector/Calibrator who will inspect semi-complex parts, tools and instruments for conformance to specs. You will maintain records, determine acceptances, and document calibration histories using a range of measurement tools.

Responsibilities include first article and envelope inspections, determining causes of defects, and supporting internal/external audits while complying with military standards and lean initiatives.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent and 3-5 years related inspection, or calibration experience.
• Able to implement and effectively apply lean/continuous improvement initiatives.
• Able to read and understand written instructions and procedures and work in a team.
• Must read blueprints/readings and work with precision, within tolerances.
• Experience with CMM operations and ANSI Y14.5 tolerancing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate acceptance/rejection records and certifications as required.
• Determine acceptance after inspection/calibration; identify defects and document history.
• Inspect components, tools, and assemblies with various measuring equipment.
• Perform first article, envelope, and source inspections; adapt inspection setups.
• Interpret specifications and use geometry to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Investigate root causes of customer returns and assist inspectors during audits.
• Communicate audit procedures clearly during internal/external audits.
