Job summary

Versar Global Solutions is seeking an Aerospace Engineering and Operations Technician to support the U.S. Coast Guard Aviation Logistics Center.

You will provide technical management for the MRS HC-144 product line and coordinate with OEMs and government representatives to ensure readiness and safety. Key responsibilities include engineering design/re-design, damage assessment, repair planning, and liaison with field service reps.

Qualifications

• Fifteen years of airframe and power plant maintenance experience.
• Minimum three years in aircraft maintenance management.
• Four years in fleet management for safety of flight release.
• Knowledge of CN-235 and HC-144 airframe is required (may substitute with fixed wing/turboprop experience).
• Proficient in English, written and oral.
• Must be authorized to work in the US or have start-date work authorization.
• Successful pre-employment screenings including federal background check, MVR and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide aeronautical engineering technical management; act as Government POC for the MRS Lead Engineer and Engineering Officer.
• Research HC-144 engineering projects and provide final design/re-design solutions with prototype data.
• Create structural damage maps and classify damage as Primary/Secondary/Tertiary/FCBS for proposals to OEMs.
• Develop airframe structural repair plans to meet or exceed OEM criteria.
• Prepare engineering memos documenting issues and liaising with OEM for technical assistance.
• Manage propulsion systems; coordinate with FSRs and government representatives on fleet engine problems.
• Manage power plant systems; coordinate with GE and CORs on serviceability and documentation.
