Enduralock | In-Space Servicing, Assembly, and Manufacturing (ISAM)
Enduralock is pioneering the future of space infrastructure. We're looking for a Senior Aerospace Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of our next-generation satellite docking and robotic fastening technologies for ISAM missions.
You’ll help transform space assembly with solutions that enable faster integration, refueling, and satellite servicing — reducing cost and increasing mission readiness.
- Research and Development of Enduralock's docking mechanism and automated fastener assembly system for ISAM missions.
- Support design, analysis, development and testing of complex electro-mechanical systems that are built with space application qualified components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers and electrical engineers (potentially software engineers, RPO, GNC and quality assurance personnel) to enable concurrent engineering approaches to address complex problems to ensure overall system compatibility.
- Conduct feasibility studies and trade-off analyses to identify optimal design solutions, considering factors such as mission objectives, launch vehicle constraints, and cost-efficiency.
- Develop and refine satellite system architectures, including power systems, communication systems, and onboard computer systems with an emphasis on successfully completing refueling, transportation, servicing, and debris mitigation missions.
- Work alongside a team of engineers to design, develop, and launch small satellites, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budget constraints.
- Document and develop technical specifications, test procedures, and test reports to ensure traceability and compliance with relevant standards.
- Collaborate and coordinate to perform system level functional tests and qualification tests to validate mechanical strength, power/data transfer, and fluid transfer capability as needed.
- Manage and mitigate technical risks throughout the satellite development process.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to other engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Write technical proposals for government contracts and develop work plan and milestone schedules for new projects.
