Job summary

Corvid Technologies is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead the design, integration, and verification of electromechanical actuation systems for control surfaces of guided rockets and missiles. You will bridge gaps between engineering groups and hardware, collaborating across disciplines to optimize performance.

Responsibilities include end-to-end actuator electronics, drive systems, and power delivery from architecture through HIL testing and flight qualification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Expertise in electric motor drives, power electronics, thermal batteries, or sensor feedback systems.
• Proficiency with modeling/simulation of dynamic electrical/mechatronic systems using MATLAB/Simulink and SPICE.

Responsibilities

• Architecture & Design of electromechanical actuation components (drive electronics, sensors, distribution, thermal batteries).
• Requirements management for system-level vehicle specs into electrical/subsystem specs.
• Control & Drive integration for closed-loop servo control and fault-detection logic in embedded electronics.
• Safety & Reliability analyses including DFMEA and dynamic load/failure response.
• Testing & Verification such as bench testing, ESS, iron bird, and HIL testing.
• Compliance & Qualification support against aerospace standards (DO-160, DO-254, MIL-STD-810, etc.).
