Job summary

Karman Space & Defense in Mukilteo, WA, is seeking a Program Manager to lead complex defense programs delivering missile hardware and related systems. You will drive cost, schedule, technical execution and quality while coordinating cross-functional teams through planning, qualification, production and delivery.

Required BS in Engineering, 5+ years in aerospace/defense, and the ability to obtain a DoD SECRET clearance. Master’s degree or PM certification preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in aerospace/defense or complex technical programs.
• DoD SECRET clearance or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Leads programs from planning through production and delivery.
• Manages cost, schedule, technical execution, and quality.
• Coordinates cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, quality, supply chain, contracts, finance, and test.
• Serves as primary interface with customers, government stakeholders, and suppliers.
• Identifies risks and drives mitigation and recovery plans.
• Supports design reviews, qualification activities, and readiness reviews.
• Handles statements of work, contract changes, and customer requests.
• Supports proposals, estimates, negotiations, and follow-on opportunities.
