Job summary

Barton Malow in Orlando, FL, is seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead all field operations on a complex aerospace and defense project. You will partner with the Project Manager to drive safety, quality, and schedule excellence on site.

The role requires 7+ years of large-scale construction leadership, a relevant degree, and knowledge of DFARS/ITAR. You will mentor the crew, coordinate with owners and consultants, and uphold Barton Malow's standards for safety and performance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience managing large-scale construction projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Knowledge of aerospace and defense industry standards, regulations and security protocols (DFARS, ITAR).
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• U.S. citizenship required; Veterans encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate, and sequence contractor work to minimize interference and maintain project flow.
• Observe and interface with contractors and trades to monitor work performance, productivity, and compliance with project rules and specifications.
• Serve as liaison between the owner, contractors, and engineers to ensure construction aligns with drawings, specifications, and schedule requirements.
• Maintain and update the project schedule in conjunction with area Superintendents.
• Review shop drawings, contracts, and specifications to support field execution and identify constructability issues proactively.
• Enforce Barton Malow's safety policy and maintain a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement on the jobsite.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to project team members, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and innovation.
• Promote continuous improvement and strategic growth within the aerospace and defense construction sector.
• Maintain strong communication with the Project Manager, owner representatives, government agencies, and design partners.
