Job summary

BETA Technologies in Vermont is seeking an experienced Mechanical/Aerospace engineer to join the NPI Team. You will create aircraft-level drawings, ICDs and skeletons while reviewing detail designs, installations and interfaces to advance our electric aircraft program.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Design, Manufacturing, Quality and Procurement, plus participation in design reviews and certification activities. A strong problem-solving mindset and aerospace passion are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Technologist level in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years aerospace experience.
• Strong knowledge of industry specifications and processes.
• Experience with Catia, 3Dexperience and other CAD.
• Strong problem-solving skills and outside the box thinker.
• Enjoys coaching and teaching and has solid collaborative skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient at learning new tools and new software.
• A passion for all that is aerospace.

Responsibilities

• Produce 3D and 2D Aircraft level drawings, ICDs and Skeletons.
• Review detail design, installations and interfaces.
• Develop concepts and implement solutions for different structural interfaces / joints.
• Support and implement solutions for special projects (RND).
• Collaborate with Design, Manufacturing, Quality and Procurement.
• Participate in design reviews.
• Support first article inspections, conformity and certification activities.
• Troubleshoot engineering and manufacturing issues.
