Phalanx Griffon (PG) program-an open-architecture, platform-agnostic airborne system delivering secure, real-time data to the tactical edge. In this critical role, you will lead air-vehicle integration efforts, translating advanced digital designs into mission-ready, airworthy hardware compatible with multiple aircraft platforms.
Key Responsibilities:Platform Integration Lead- Lead mechanical and structural integration of the PG Nomad hardware stack, SATCOM apertures, and platform interface modules (PIMs).
- Develop airworthiness artifacts and coordinate flight-clearance documentation (e.g., AF Form 1067) with System Program Offices (SPOs), OEMs, and test centers.
- Conduct trade studies and SWaP-C (Size, Weight, Power, and Cost) analyses to guide platform-specific integration strategies.
Digital Engineering & Model-Based Design- Create and manage 3D CAD assemblies, interface control documents, and weight/balance data within the government-owned digital thread.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide iterative design feedback and ensure system compatibility.
System Integration Laboratory (SIL)- Define and oversee development of aircraft-representative test fixtures, wiring harnesses, and environmental simulation setups.
- Support EMI/EMC, thermal, vibration, and functional checkout testing before flight evaluations.
Flight Test & Fielding- Author test plans, hazard analyses, and Interim Authorizations to Test (IATT).
- Serve as a ground or flight test engineer, capturing lessons learned and incorporating design improvements in future product deliveries.
Program Execution & Mentorship- Maintain schedule and integration milestones within the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).

- B.S. in Aeronautical, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering (M.S. preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in aircraft modification or avionics hardware integration, preferably on military platforms.
- Proficiency in structural analysis (FEM), weight & balance assessments, and MIL-STD environmental compliance.
- Proven track record of guiding systems from lab to flight test within DoD/USAF acquisition frameworks (e.g., AFI 63-101/20-101).
- Experience with CAD tools such as CREO, NX, CATIA, or SolidWorks.
- Familiarity with MBSE tools (e.g., SysML, CAMEO) is a plus.
Desired Skills:- Experience with programs like ABMS, OMS/UCI, or CJADC2.
- Knowledge of multiband SATCOM, NSA-accredited crypto devices, and cross-domain solutions.
