Job summary

Donnelly- in New York seeks an experienced Adobe Experience Manager Solutions Engineer Lead to steer AEM development for the NYC Design System and its rollout across nyc.gov guided experiences.

You will design, develop, and maintain AEM components and integrations, mentor teams, and ensure performance, security, and CI/CD in Cloud Manager and on-prem deployments. This role requires hands-on leadership and strong Java/Sling/OSGi skills, plus collaboration with architects and product owners.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in AEM development; strong hands-on experience with AEM Sites, Assets, Sling Jobs and workflows.
• 3+ years in custom application development not in AEM or Adobe Cloud
• Provide technical leadership to development teams, including mentoring, conducting code reviews, and promoting industry best practices (DevOps, Cloud, Agile).
• Collaborate with business teams to define requirements, identify risks and define maintainable solutions within the AEM platform
• Design, develop and support AEM components, integrations, and applications for building websites
• Expertise in Java, Sling, OSGi, HTL (Sightly), and front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Strong knowledge of Dispatcher configs, caching techniques, and performance tuning
• Experience deploying websites to AEM Cloud Service and on-premises installations.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Maven, Jenkins, or other DevOps tools
• Strong troubleshooting skills and experience resolving production issues in AEM environments.
• Familiarity with Agile development practices and team collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain AEM components, templates, workflows, jobs, and integrations while ensuring stability and performance across environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Dispatcher configuration, caching, and overall system performance, and support CI/CD pipelines including Cloud Manager operations, automated builds, deployments, and testing.
• Work closely with Architects and Product Owners to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions, while adhering to coding standards, best practices, and security guidelines.
• Perform code reviews, mentor junior developers, and guide AEM development practices, while integrating AEM with third party systems such as CRM, DAM, analytics tools, and custom APIs.
• Monitor application health and implement observability and diagnostics, while staying current with AEM features, cloud services, and Adobe Experience Cloud advancements.
