Job summary

Tech Mirrors in Brooklyn, NY, is seeking an AEM Solutions Engineer Lead to design, develop, and maintain Adobe Experience Manager components, templates, workflows, and integrations. You will ensure stability, scalability, and performance across environments, while leading a team of developers and mentoring juniors.

Collaborate with Architects and Product Owners to translate business requirements into scalable solutions, follow best practices, and drive DevOps and Cloud Manager initiatives.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in AEM development with hands-on work on Sites, Assets, Sling Jobs and workflows.
• Provide technical leadership including mentoring, code reviews, and promoting DevOps/Cloud/Agile practices.
• Collaborate with business teams to translate requirements into maintainable AEM solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain AEM components, templates, workflows, jobs, and integrations.

• Troubleshoot Dispatcher config, caching, and performance issues.

Title: AEM Solutions Engineer Lead

Location: Brooklyn, NY 11201- (3 days in office/2days remote)

Longer term

Tasks:

• Design, develop, and maintain Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) components, templates, workflows, jobs, and integrations.
• Ensure application stability, scalability, and performance across multiple environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Dispatcher configuration, caching, and overall system performance.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, including Cloud Manager operations, automated builds, deployments, and testing.
• Collaborate with Architects and Product Owners to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Follow coding standards, best practices, and security guidelines throughout the development lifecycle.
• Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior developers.
• Mentor team members and promote AEM development best practices.
• Integrate AEM with third-party systems, including CRM platforms, DAM solutions, analytics tools, and custom APIs.
• Monitor application health and implement observability, logging, and diagnostic solutions to improve system reliability.

Mandatory Skills/Experience: Candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered

• 8+ years of experience in AEM development; strong hands-on experience with AEM Sites, Assets, Sling Jobs and workflows.
• Relevant AEM certifications such as Adobe Experience Manager Sites Architect, Adobe Experience Manager Sites Lead, Adobe Experience Manager DevOps, Adobe Experience Manager Sites Developer
• Provide technical leadership to development teams, including mentoring, conducting code reviews, and promoting industry best practices (DevOps, Cloud, Agile).
• Collaborate with business teams to define requirements, identify risks and define maintainable solutions within the AEM platform
• Design, develop and support AEM components, integrations, and applications for building websites
• Expertise in Java, Sling, OSGi, HTL (Sightly), and front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Strong knowledge of Dispatcher configs, caching techniques, and performance tuning
• Experience deploying websites to AEM Cloud Service and on-premises installations.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Maven, Jenkins, or other DevOps tools
• Strong troubleshooting skills and experience resolving production issues in AEM environments.
• Familiarity with Agile development practices and team collaboration tools.

Desired Skills/Experience

• Experience with Adobe Target is not required but consider a plus
• Experience integrating Adobe Analytics with AEM is a+
• Experience with Akamai Content Delivery Network for websites
• Experience with language translation tools such as Smartling or Transperfect
• Experience with search engines such as Coveo or Solr
