Hepburn and Sons LLC in Dahlgren, VA seeks a Data Collection Specialist to maintain and support AEGIS-related radar data collection operations, training, and documentation. The role spans systems engineering, integration, development, maintenance, and operation of Training Tools for naval platforms.

The candidate will lead data collection missions, coordinate with NSWC Dahlgren and other agencies, and provide mission support for RDC events, NTDC/TDC operations, DDCS/ECS/ECDCS, and related data

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 4 years Combat System shipboard experience including two deployments as a senior CIC watch stander onboard a CG or DDG.
• At least four years as a Combat System Instructor.

Responsibilities

• Provide Schedules, Engineering, and Readiness Support to SCSTC and waterfront Detachments for AEGIS, Ship Self Defense Systems (SSDS), and Atlanta Weapon Systems baselines (B/Ls)
• Provide operational mission support for real world Radar Data Collection events
• Collaborate with other agencies and NSWC laboratories to coordinate the data transfer of raw data and the analysis of collected radar data
• Support stakeholder meetings, conferences, seminars related to RDC operations and respond to stakeholder questions concerning mission capabilities
• Support SCSTC with Systems Software Orientation of AEGIS ship crews and battle staffs in Non-Tactical Data Collection operation, Technical Data Collection operations, Coherent Data Collection Systems installation and operations, and other AEGIS Data Collection matters
• Provide operational mission support for the radar data collection missions
• Provide operational and technical support for real word data collection events
• Collaborate with other agencies and Naval Surface Warfare Centers to coordinate the data transfer of raw data and the analysis of collected radar data
• Periodically accompany NSWC Dahlgren RDC Team to brief post mission analysis to Fleet Commands, Theater and Combatant Commanders
• Support the SCSTC with developing documentation and training AEGIS ship crews and battle staffs in execution of data collection missions using Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense, TDC, Doppler Data Collection System, Enhanced Collection System, Enhanced CDCS, and CDCS
