P17 Solutions is seeking a Mid- to Senior-Level Radar and Combat Systems Engineer to support mission-critical engineering activities at Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division in Dahlgren, VA. The role focuses on AN/SPY radar family, Mk 99 Fire Control, radar signal processing, and Aegis weapon system integration to support analysis, modeling, testing, and performance evaluation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, computer, systems engineering, physics, math, CS or related field.
• 5+ years of engineering experience; senior candidates 10+ years.
• Active DoD clearance or ability to obtain/maintain clearance.
• Experience with radar, Aegis, naval fire-control, missiles, DSP, sensor integration, combat-system T&E.

Responsibilities

• Analyze AN/SPY radar performance, including detection and tracking functions.
• Evaluate Mk 99 Fire Control System and related components for missile engagements.
• Develop models and algorithms to assess system behavior and performance.
• Prepare technical reports and briefings for government stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Navy engineers, warfare-center personnel, and industry partners.
