Job summary

TSC is seeking an AEGIS Systems Engineer in Dahlgren, VA to support NSWCDD. This role centers on gathering, processing, and analyzing data to assess system performance against certification and operational requirements.

Responsibilities include developing baselines for AEGIS/ABMD, performing performance analysis, and building MATLAB tools. Travel to test sites is required, and an active secret clearance is necessary.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, physics or related technical field.
US citizenship and an active secret clearance (or higher).
Experience with AEGIS Combat Systems.
Strong background in systems engineering, test planning, and performance analysis.
Understanding of RADAR engineering and how to optimize detection/tracking using SPY 6 in AEGIS Weapons System.
Experience with testing and development protocol and necessary documentation.
Proficient with MATLAB or equivalent for data analysis.
Willingness to travel to test/operational sites as needed.

Responsibilities

Provide systems engineering support for the development of new AEGIS and ABMD baselines.
Analyze system performance data and recommend design or performance improvements based on tactical and operational insights.
Develop and maintain MATLAB-based tools for data processing and analysis.
Support certification processes, flight test missions, and configuration control boards through documentation and status reporting.
Assist with operational readiness reporting and baseline certification efforts.
Contribute to improvements in data collection methodologies and analytical tools.
