Job summary

Gibbs & Cox, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, seeks a full-time AEGIS SPY Radar Subject Matter Expert and Tactical and Technical Trainer in Dahlgren, VA. You will lead combat systems training and readiness for Sailors assigned to AEGIS platforms. The role requires at least four years of U.S.

Navy surface warfare combat systems experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to write clear technical documentation. Active Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years of U.S. Navy surface warfare combat systems experience.
• Active Secret clearance required.
• Ability to write clear, concise technical correspondence and reports.

Responsibilities

• Develop, organize, and conduct combat systems and weapon system training for AEGIS personnel.
• Serve as an AEGIS SPY Radar SME and Instructor to train Sailors in tactical and operational employment of the AEGIS system.
• Review and analyze Aegis Combat System capabilities and Navy doctrine.
• Conceptualize execution of Doctrine to optimize ship Combat Systems performance.
• Utilize shore-based training systems for dynamic training and assessment of watch standers.
• Conduct training sessions and develop criteria to evaluate training effectiveness.
