Job summary

Dell Technologies is seeking an Advisory AI Architect in the Forward Deployment Engineering (FDE) Unit to design and build AI and GenAI solutions with customers and own critical parts of the AI software stack. The role drives rapid PoV sprints and helps productionize AI workloads on Dell infrastructure.

Based in Remote - Austin, Texas, the candidate will migrate AI workloads across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments, mentor engineers, and ensure production readiness while upholding security

Qualifications

• Typically, 6+ years in enterprise architecture, AI/ML platforms, or systems engineering with production workloads in large enterprises.
• Hands-on experience designing AI components such as model serving, orchestration, retrieval pipelines, and integrations.
• Strong software engineering practices including CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and IaC.
• Experience delivering and operating production AI or other large-scale distributed systems.
• Ownership of production systems including stabilization and performance tuning; able to explain trade-offs clearly.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and Dell locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI solution stacks with model serving, orchestration, and retrieval pipelines.
• Lead PoV sprints; refine scope, build, iterate, and present outcomes to stakeholders.
• Plan cloud-to-on-prem and hybrid migrations for AI workloads onto Dell infrastructure.
• Ensure production readiness, monitoring, performance optimization, and issue triage.
• Collaborate with AI Data Specialists and Enterprise Architects to align scope with business outcomes.
• Provide documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer to customer teams.
