Responsibilities

  • Advise the Division Director on all administrative matters related to implementation of TSCA, related chemical safety statutes, and the risk assessment program.
  • Provide authoritative administrative and procedural expertise for risk assessments developed under TSCA, other authorities administered by OPPT, or EPA, and evaluate program performance, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Advise on the Division's long-range planning efforts to directly support the OPPT risk evaluation program functions.
  • Serve as a recognized authority on the identification of unreasonable risks to human health and the environment from chemicals in commerce, and conduct complex technical and policy analyses for use in OPPT projects.
