Job summary

Oasis Senior Advisors Hampton Roads is seeking a full-time Senior Advisor to serve older adults and families across Hampton Roads, helping navigate senior living options at no cost. This role is field-based, with community meetings, tours, and constant community engagement.

The ideal candidate is compassionate, highly organized, and enjoys building relationships with hospitals, care facilities, and referral partners while guiding families through placement and follow-up.

Qualifications

• Experience in senior living, healthcare, social work, sales, or related fields.
• Experience working with seniors and their families.
• Knowledge of the Hampton Roads senior care community is a strong plus.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage schedule and follow up.
• Willingness to learn senior living resources in Hampton Roads.

Responsibilities

• Meet with seniors and families to understand their needs, preferences, care requirements, and budget.
• Help families navigate assisted living, memory care, independent living, and other senior care resources.
• Research and recommend senior living communities that may be a good fit for each family.
• Coordinate and personally attend community tours with families.
• Build meaningful relationships with hospitals, skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities, physician offices, home health and hospice agencies, elder law attorneys, senior care professionals, and other community partners.
• Regularly visit referral partners and senior living communities throughout Hampton Roads.
• Attend networking events, educational programs, community events, and other opportunities to represent Oasis.
• Maintain strong relationships with local senior living communities and stay current on availability, services, pricing, and levels of care.
• Follow up consistently with families from the initial consultation through placement and beyond.
• Manage referrals and client activity through our Oasis CRM and proprietary Oasis IQ software.
• Become a trusted local resource for families and professionals who may not know where to turn for senior care guidance.

Oasis Senior Advisors Hampton Roads is growing, and we’re looking for the right person to grow with us!

We are seeking a full-time Senior Advisor to serve older adults and their families throughout Hampton Roads. This is a relationship-focused role for someone who genuinely enjoys helping people, connecting with the community, and making a difference for families during what can be an overwhelming time.

At Oasis, we help families navigate senior living and care options at no cost to the family. We take the time to understand each person’s needs, help identify appropriate senior living options and resources, coordinate tours, and support families throughout the process.

This is not a desk job. Some days you may be meeting with a family at a rehab facility, touring an assisted living community, having coffee with a referral partner, attending a networking event, or working from home following up with families. Every day can look a little different.

What You’ll Do

Who We’re Looking For

The right person for this position is compassionate, dependable, outgoing, and comfortable building relationships.

You should be someone who can sit with a family during a difficult conversation, listen to what they truly need, and then confidently help them determine their next steps.

You should also enjoy getting out into the community. Relationship-building is a big part of this position, so we are looking for someone who is comfortable walking into a healthcare facility, introducing themselves, developing new relationships, and maintaining those relationships over time.

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Experience in senior living, healthcare, social work, case management, sales, business development, or a related field.
• Experience working with seniors and their families.
• Knowledge of the Hampton Roads senior care or healthcare community is a strong plus.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to work independently, manage their schedule, and consistently follow up.
• A willingness to learn the senior living communities and resources available throughout Hampton Roads.
• Comfort balancing business development with hands-on support for families.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Nursing, Social Work, Communication, Public Health, or a related field is preferred.

• Generous bonus structure with expected total compensation of $100,000+

Our Territory

This position serves families and healthcare partners throughout Hampton Roads, Virginia, including the Peninsula and Southside.

The Senior Living Advisor must be comfortable traveling locally to meet families, attend senior living tours, visit healthcare and referral partners, and participate in community events.

Candidates should live in or near the Hampton Roads area and be comfortable spending a significant portion of their workweek out in the community.
