Job summary

Honeywell International, Inc. seeks a Senior Advanced Project Engineer to lead end-to-end development and launch of complex hardware, firmware, software, and mechanical projects for the FIRE portfolio within Building Automation.

The role reports to the Engineering Program Management Director and is based in Atlanta, GA or Northford, CT on a Hybrid schedule, coordinating global cross-functional teams and ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline such as sciences, technology, or engineering.
• 5+ years of program or project management experience leading complex engineering projects.
• 3+ years of product development experience with hardware/software integrated products and global teams.
• Strong knowledge of engineering product development principles and project management methodologies.
• Proficiency with MS Project for creating and maintaining complex schedules and updates.

Responsibilities

• Lead 3-4 concurrent global new product introduction programs with integrated hardware, firmware, and software development using Agile methods.
• Develop and maintain release roadmaps, schedules, and budgets to meet scope, cost, and time targets.
• Direct multi-disciplinary teams (10-15+ members) across sites to ensure alignment and execution.
• Define program scope and manage change control with stakeholders on contracts and scope variations.
• Drive commercialization to meet revenue, cost, and business objectives while balancing feasibility.
• Identify and mitigate risks, capitalizing on opportunities to improve outcomes.
• Collaborate with supply chain and manufacturing to ready production and transfer to factory processes.
• Report program status to senior leadership with milestones, risks, and financials.
• Ensure compliance with Honeywell's product development process and continuous improvement practices.
• Engage with commercial teams and customers to align execution with business needs.
