Job summary

Formlabs seeks a Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer in Boston to advance assembly processes, build tooling, and calibrate equipment. You will work with cross-functional teams across mechanical, electrical, and materials domains, and with contract manufacturers to scale production.

You will analyze production lines, establish checks, and drive improvements that reduce defects and improve throughput while meeting budget and timelines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Experience working with overseas contract manufacturers or suppliers.
• Proactive problem solver.
• Successfully brought electro-mechanical products or projects to market on time and within budget.
• Experience evaluating production line performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Improve existing manufacturing lines and support volume growth.
• Establish inline or intermediate checks to catch failures earlier.
• Design and analyze production lines and implement metrics.
• Collaborate with contract manufacturers to improve output.
• Coordinate with design engineers to ensure design changes are adopted.
