Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Central Texas seeks a fellowship-trained, board-certified/eligible Advanced Heart Failure Transplant Cardiologist for its growing team in the Greater Austin Region. Inpatient and outpatient duties include LVAD/HTx care, ECHO for VAD/HTx, and selective catheter-based procedures.

Join a nine‑surgeon HF team supporting 200 temporary MCS devices and 50 heart transplants annually, with education duties and cross‑site coverage in Lakeway, Round Rock, and Temple locations.

Qualifications

• UNOS-qualified for cardiac transplants.
• Interest in education and research encouraged.
• Provide coverage for transplant, inpatient and outpatient services.
• Predominant time in Lakeway.
• Call schedule: Round Rock 1:4; Temple 6 weeks/year.
• Dedicated HF nurses and APP weekly with expansion plans.
• Opportunity to perform Cath lab procedures and read ECHO for VAD/HTx.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient and outpatient heart failure and transplant consultations.
• ACGME education of Cardiology Fellows and rotations on transplant service.
