Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health seeks a fellowship trained, board certified Advanced Heart Failure Transplant Cardiologist to serve as Medical Director for the Central Texas Advanced Heart Failure Transplant program. Lead a robust team of clinicians and APPs with a mission to expand services and improve outcomes.

The candidate will direct inpatient/outpatient care, participate in policy development, and collaborate with surgical teams to advance transplant care and research within a large Texas

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent degree required.
• Board certification in cardiology with Heart Failure or equivalent experience.
• Texas license to practice medicine.
• On-site hospital staff appointment and affiliation.
• Minimum five years in transplantation with administrative experience preferred.
• Experience in direct care of heart transplant patients and involvement with procurement and transplantation process.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient and outpatient care of heart failure and transplant patients.
• Participate in transplant program policy development and budgeting.
• Lead and integrate the transplant program with other hospital departments and services.
• Engage in academic duties including education of fellows/residents and program development.
