Job summary

Tri Star Engineering, Inc. seeks an experienced Advance Planner in Indiana to support Navy modernization and maintenance programs. You will apply advanced analytics, forecasting, and resource planning to improve schedule execution and mission readiness.

You will work with program managers, production planners, engineering teams, and government stakeholders to analyze workflows, develop production schedules, identify risks, and implement process improvements that enhance performance and readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 5–8 years of experience in operations analysis, production planning, scheduling, or related analytics.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret Security Clearance.
• Experience supporting Navy modernization programs and ship alteration.
• Proficiency with MS Project and MS Office.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
• US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and analyze master production schedules to establish workflow sequencing and lead times to meet project dates.
• Evaluate operational processes and apply analytical methods to improve efficiency and resource utilization.
• Conduct quantitative analyses related to scheduling, workforce allocation, material availability, production performance, and operational readiness.
• Develop predictive models, forecasts, and performance metrics to support management decisions.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, bottlenecks, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Revise schedules based on priorities, work orders, and constraints.
• Coordinate with supervisors, project managers, and production personnel to assess status and resolve conflicts.
• Monitor schedule performance and expedite delayed activities to achieve objectives.
• Prepare production and performance reports for management review.
• Apply operations research techniques to support planning.
• Develop recommendations for improving production systems and processes.
• Support Navy modernization planning and ensure alignment with Navy requirements.
