Smart Working, a remote-first software company, seeks a Senior AdTech Engineer to evolve a production programmatic advertising platform. You will own a critical backend area, collaborate with a data scientist, and guide the engineering team while ensuring performance and reliability.

Ideal candidates have deep Node.js and TypeScript skills, API integration experience, and a track record of technical leadership in high-throughput systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of advanced Node.js back-end engineering.
• 3+ years building low-latency, high-throughput systems with millisecond responses.
• 1+ year building agentic AI for production with a data scientist.
• 5+ years building APIs and third-party integrations.
• 3+ years TypeScript experience (or strong JS).

Responsibilities

• Build and scale the back-end components for a low-latency ad platform.
• Develop proprietary AI agents for media buying with a data scientist.
• Integrate with OpenRTB, DSPs and SSPs via APIs.
• Lead code reviews and mentor engineers; guide the team.
• Own end-to-end design and delivery of services or components.
