Job summary

Vive Adolescent Care is seeking a Lead Activity Coordinator to oversee the daily operation and development of the activity programming for adolescents in treatment. You will build structured, engaging groups and lead a team to deliver consistent, therapeutic programming.

You will collaborate with clinical and program leadership, train staff, manage calendars and supplies, and ensure documentation reflects progress toward treatment goals. Bachelor’s degree and 2–3 years’ experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Psychology, Social Work, Child and Youth Care, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience facilitating recreational, therapeutic, or youth programming.
• Behavioral health, residential treatment, or adolescent-care experience preferred.
• Leadership, scheduling, training, or program development experience a plus.
• Familiarity with CBT, DBT, mindfulness, or behavioral-health programming desirable.

Responsibilities

• Create and lead engaging recreational, psychoeducational, and life-skills groups for adolescents.
• Develop structured non-therapy CBT and DBT-based activities that reinforce skills from clinical care.
• Incorporate mindfulness, emotional regulation, and communication into programming.
• Build and maintain the department’s activity calendar and schedules.
• Coordinate staff coverage to ensure consistent daily programming.
• Lead, train, and develop activity staff and volunteers.
• Review documentation and ensure notes are accurate and consistent.
• Manage supplies and resources to keep the department prepared.
• Collaborate with clinical leadership to align activities with treatment goals.
• Bring new ideas, creativity, and energy to the department.
