The Institute of Culinary Education is seeking a Senior Admissions Representative in New York City. JOB TITLE: Senior Admissions Representatives

REPORTS TO: Director of Admissions and Student Financial Services

POSITION SUMMARY: The Institute of Culinary Education (ICE) is seeking intermediate and senior level Admissions Representatives to join our Admissions team in Lower Manhattan if you are a self‑starter whose passion is connecting with others and the world of food. ICE is one of America’s leading centers for culinary education and the largest culinary school in New York City and Los Angeles. We are dedicated to helping students of all ages and backgrounds pursue their culinary career dreams. Success in this role requires a genuine desire to connect and assist others in a team‑oriented environment. As an Admissions Representative you will join a bi‑coastal team that annually serves thousands of prospective students who are looking to pursue their dreams of a culinary education by attending ICE. The Admissions Representative is a key member of our Admissions team and reports directly to our Director of Admissions and Student Financial Services. We support and reward performance, professionalism and team involvement. We also have fun, and eat well, in the process!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct high‑volume outbound calls and establish a key, initial relationship with prospective students that provides the foundation for enrollment.
  • Build rapport and trust through effective communication and active listening.
  • Assess prospect’s needs and present solutions to address their needs.
  • Manage a healthy pipeline of prospective students spanning the globe who are in pursuit of enrollment.
  • Maintain detailed records of prospect interactions and enrollment progress.
  • Process enrollment paperwork for students according to School and Department policy and procedures.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets through consultative selling techniques.
  • Provide information about ICE, tours of the facility, and liaise with the Office of Student Financial Services.
  • Provide ongoing support and follow‑up to ensure prospect satisfaction.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Proven experience in a consultative sales role, preferably with a focus on phone‑based communication.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with people.
  • Excellent problem‑solving abilities and a solution‑oriented mindset.
  • Familiarity with CRM software, Microsoft Office products and sales tracking tools.
  • Self‑motivated and able to work independently in a high energy, goal‑oriented environment.
  • Admissions experience a plus.
  • Culinary industry experience a plus.
  • Possess excellent time management skills.
  • The position is on‑site, full‑time and requires flexibility to work evening and weekend shifts, according to department rotation, which is set in advance.
